Summer Family Fun Kick-Off Celebration! Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children's Theater.Performance 11:00am to Noon, Crafts & Games Noon to 5:00pm. Grumbling Gryphons have adapted the ancient Greek myth of Persephone and Demeter into a highly imaginative and entertaining show for children, with audience participation as an essential part. They act as a Greek Chorus, dance as rainbows and singing sunbeams with Apollo the Sun God. They become creatures of Hades, the Underworld, guarded by Cerberus- the Three-Headed Dog. After the production, families can create their own Greek masks to take home and go searching in the Folk Art gallery for the secret passport stamp! Also, families can take a jump on the giant moon bounce, get their face painted, and play the giant games on the Parade Field throughout the day. FREE with Museum Admission. |
