Saturday, October 18, 2008
2:00PM - 4:00PM
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Model T, the 20th annual Melber Lecture will be celebrating the automobile that put “America on wheels.” Building on the popular exhibit Steven Hatch, Curator of the Antique Automobile collection at Heritage will share a lively mix of stories, vintage snapshots, hilarious movies and perhaps even a racy rhyme or two in this lively celebration of the Model T.
Prior to his tenure at Heritage Museums & Gardens, Mr. Hatch has worked at the America on Wheels Museum, Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Moravian Museum. Currently the Curator of History, he oversees the Museum’s expansive collection of firearms, Americana, and antique automobiles. He has curated exhibits on a range of topics from early baseball, Civil War photography and the first automobiles of Cape Cod. Steve is a popular automobile museum lecturer giving talks on a wide variety of automotive topics and history and was one of three distinguished judges invited to judge automotive fine art at the Meadow Brook Concours.
Join us for this lecture that is guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, and maybe even blush! Henry Ford wouldn’t have it any other way!
