Through the Looking Glass: A Mad Hatters Tea Party
Wednesday, July 15, 2009
2:00PM - 4:00PM
“Why, yes, I’m very fond of tea,” said Alice to the Mad Hatter.
Grandmothers, mothers, boys and girls ages 5 and up join us for this formal tea party. All will delight in the creative table settings, Alice in Wonderland décor, and all of the activities that are planned for this wonderful event. Children will be able to ride the carousel, go on a scavenger hunt, make their own placemats for the tea, and talk to live characters from this wonderful children’s tale.
The party will offer different sponsorship levels and will include the opportunity to purchase personalized, engraved pavers that will be laid down on the access path to Hidden Hollow, Heritage's new Family Adventure Garden and Nature Exploration Classroom. This is a great occasion to honor children and family members by placing their names on a path to a unique garden feature that will bring joy to children and families for generations to come.
The tea party will benefit Hidden Hollow. Mad Hatter - $50 per person; Alice - $500 (Table for 6 and 1 brick); Cheshire cat - $1000 sponsor (includes table for 6, and 2 bricks, as well as an invitation to the Honor Society); White Rabbit for $2500 includes table for 6 and teak bench; Queen of Hearts for $5000 includes table for 6 and granite bench. Pavers also sold separately for $100.
