WEBELO AND BEAR:
Let’s Get to Work!: Scouts will get a very rare opportunity at Heritage: they will perform maintenance on an antique car from 1930! They will change a tire, check the oil, and replace a light and compare it to modern cars. Then scouts will take part in several games and projects with modern and antique tools before completing a project to take home. Completes Webelo Handyman badge and Bear Achievement 20.
Dirt Diggers: Everyone will become a rock hound as we go on a rock, mineral, soil, and fossil hunt throughout Heritage! Along the way we will participate in an I-Spy, perform experiments, play games, and complete several take home projects. Completes Webelo Geologist and Bear Elective 12.
WOLF AND TIGER:
Great Outdoors: Scouts will discover the importance and fun of taking care of the environment. Play the recycle relay challenge, take a nature hike, make a bird feeder, and monitor the weather as we learn tips to conserve our earth’s elements. Completes Wolf Achievement 7 and Tiger Achievement 5, Elective 32, 33, 34.
Ready, Set, Play!: Who says history is boring?! Scouts will explore historic games first-hand by making and playing several examples, including ball and cup, puppets, and musical instruments, as well as discovering antique toys from the museum’s collection. Completes Wolf Elective 4 and Tiger Elective 3, 7, 17, 21.
