Join Heritage Museums & Gardens for the fist Girl Scout Overnight Event for Junior and Teen Girl Scouts! Troops can explore the museum like never before with exciting evening activities such as flashlight tours, behind-the-scenes discoveries, orienteering through the back trails, and nighttime storytelling around the museum’s collections. After a good night’s sleep amount the museum’s exhibits, troop can wake up and freely explore the museum buildings, ride the carousel, and enjoy a guided morning hike through the nature trails!
 
Scouts will also participate in activity stations to earn the Junior Folk Arts badge and complete several requirements for the Folk Arts Interest Project for Teen Scouts. Sample activities include:
·        Paper mache masks
·        Jewelry making
·        Artifact conservation
·        Candle dipping
·        Soap making
·        Mixed up fairy tales
·        Girl Scout karaoke
 
Registration Fees:
            $30 per scout and participating sibling
            $15 per adult
            Fee includes all activity supplies, Heritage Museums badge, an evening snack,    and breakfast
 
Registration is required for this event. Groups are also required to pay a deposit upon registration and must have the exact number of adults and children that will be attending. Once registered, leaders will receive a confirmation packet with a schedule of activities, FAQs, and permission slips that must be mailed back to the museum before the event.   Please call Kristen Hoeker, Manager of Family and Community Programs, at 508-888-3300, ext. 159 or at khoeker@heritagemuseums.org to register or for more information.
