Join us on a journey through nature’s wonders in a quest for knowledge. Museum Adventure participants will spend four weeks discovering the world around us. Every day is filled with fun activities like creating art, playing games, performing science experiments, and exploring Heritage’s collection.
Sessions One and Two: Our nature quest will take us on an adventure in search of the four ancient elements: fire, wind, water, and earth. Each week we will discover a new element. Adventurers will create art that changes color in the sun, design kites, perform water experiments, and take a closer look at our historic windmill.
Sessions Three and Four: Become a naturalist and learn how to identify and classify plants and animals. Each week adventurers will voyage into a new environment: woodland adventure, ocean exploration, earth expedition, and skyward bound. Participants will create nature paintings, make atomic worms (they glow in the dark!), explore Native American artifacts, and solve an animal track mystery.
